You Don’t Need More Qualifications—You Need Clarity

Today I had a session with a lovely new client, Sarah, a social worker with over 10 years of experience. Like many coaches and therapists stepping into a new space, she was doubting whether she was “qualified enough.”
But here’s the truth: Sarah already had everything she needed. She just didn’t know how to use it as a coach. She knows how to listen, how to ask the right questions, and how to create safety and connection in difficult situations. That’s more valuable than any new course or certificate.
What she needed wasn’t more training. She needed to see herself differently - and learn how to package what she already knew. We talked about building her coaching identity step by step. No need for a business plan, a website, or a funnel. You don’t build a business first - you work with one client first. That’s when your business begins.
I reminded her (and myself): You are your brand. And your growth will reflect in your service. You don’t need to compete when you create your own playground. When you define the rules, you can’t lose.
If you’re in a similar place - qualified but unsure - I want you to know: Confidence follows action. Let’s start with what you already have, and build from there.
